Customer feedback tells us that a significant factor in deciding to buy shutters from Shutters Direct is due to the quality of the paint and stain finishes we offer.
You can choose from a range of 8 standard paint finishes. With a wide range of Farrow and Ball inspired whites and 10 standard stain colours in both our poplar and elm shutters ranges, there's a look to suit you.
One reason why our shutters receive such praise for the quality of the paint and stain finish is that there is a high level of hand finishing involved in the manufacture. Your interior shutters are sprayed with a number of different layers of paint or stain. The shutters and frames are then moved to a quality check area and the panels rubbed down between paint or stain applications.
The shutters are then sealed with a UV protective lacquer to ensure the paint or stain finish doesn’t fade in sunlight.
Custom painted or stained shutters – it’s your choice!
Our interior shutters can be coloured in ANY paint or stain finish of your choosing. Simply give us a sample of the colour you would like and we'll match it. We will have a sample mixed and sprayed onto a shutter slat and sent to you for approval. This service is exceptionally popular with the interior designers who work with us to design and install their clients' shutters.
Custom painting and staining shutters to a virtually infinite range of colour possibilities is unique to Shutters Direct. While other companies offer shutters custom painted to match the Dulux trade paint range, our shutters are available in whatever colour you choose.
Please note: This is an extra cost option, being 15% additional charge for your shutters.
