Shutters Direct was established in 2005 and since then, we have grown to become one of the leading Benelux providers of wooden plantation shutters. The company was founded by two Directors who, through their own unsatisfactory experience of buying shutters, felt there was a gap in the market for a quality plantation shutters company.
At that time there were few options available in The Netherlands and surrounding areas, with most retailers unwilling to visit you without a committed order. The existing shutters companies had a level of service and product knowledge that we felt could be bettered. Buying shutters is not an insignificant purchase and we recognise that customers need to be confident that they are using a company who will do a first-class job of both design and installation.
With both our Company Directors coming from senior customer service management backgrounds, the bedrock of our success has been in ensuring every person who works for Shutters Direct has a deep and clear understanding of successful shutter manufacture and design, all wrapped up with genuinely caring customer service.
To this day, our team is trained in various areas of the shutters business to ensure they have as much knowledge about the company, our shutters and our customers as possible.
